i was born in a catholic country but i was never raised as one. this video doesn't offend me but it's so UNFUNNY it should be banned (not really). i dont know this Louis CK but man you lack subtleness, that's what whould make this video funny. oh and some original ideas wouldn't hurt too. plus, what is this general anti-catholicism?? dont all creeds ask for the believer's money/assholes? wasn't christian protestantism born by whim, last time i checked at least.

Yeah, could we just ban it for not being funny? The dude keep saying "fuck" in the hopes that the shock value will somehow translate into humor. It's funny how this whole thing is portrayed. First, it's like 1-2 % of priests who are implicated which is lower than the general populace. But it's the Catholic Church so the game is on. It seems no one takes more glee in others' downfalls than the truly aberrant. Also, it keeps getting called a "pedophilia" scandal when the minority of cases involve pre-pubescents. Not that it's okay to fondle 14 year olds, but let's face it, it's certainly not as bad and most 14 year olds could probably resist the advances of an aging priest. That is - if they wanted to. What this thng really is about, but no one will cop to it, is a "predatory homosexual" scandal. About 90 plus percent of these cases are men after boys - not girls. But we can't bash the gays because they are a favored and protected group. Tell ya what - we'll call it pedophilia cuz we all can agree that's a bad thing. What a freaking bad joke.

I am a MUSLIM and I have to note that here is where Xtians can learn from the great faith of ISLAM. most Xtians don't know their own history. you don't (usually) understand the schism (and birth of Protestantism), and how CATHOLICISM saved Xtianity and stemmed the dominance of ISLAM. forgive me if I don't give you the details in this short post. I hope u will do your due diligence, however, and gain a TRUE understanding (your) faith, and how nothing this "Louis CK" and his sophistry can say that can affect power of God. (the ridiculous behaviour of Catholic priests notwithstanding... )

I dont care if no one else thinks its funny, because i do. all the people that think it should be banned, how about you move to a country where your not even allowed to watch something like this. then you won't have to worry about your feeling being hurt. I'm a devout catholic, this guys got freedom of speech so he can say whatever he wants. He's entitled to his own opinion just like you and I. On a completely non-catholic level, the video is just unfunny and unoriginal. It's also about five years late, seriously how desperate was this guy for material? Making fun of the catholic church is like picking on some kid with no arms or legs. It's easy, really not a challenge at all. Grow some and make fun of something a little more challenging. If this video was criticizing Islam, there would be a completely different response comment wise, most would be offended and Louis CK would probably be labeled a racist.

Third post in a row, sorry, but in my opinion if people choose to have faith in a belief, why not let them be. Instead our media and comedians choose to disparage members of certain religions for personal gain and attention. Such techniques are both juvenile and disrespectful, if a person chooses not to believe in a religion, more power to them. When someone however chooses to assail something that millions of people consider the cornerstones of their lives that is just bad taste. Mel Brooks poked fun at subtle stereotypes of his own and other religions. He never violently plagued religion like most comedians do nowadays. Also, half of you need to educate yourselves before you open your mouths again, reading your comments is like receiving a vasectomy while watching a chimpanzee anally rape a dog.

I support gay marriage, I actually have quite short hair and no mustache, anyways I don't see how that concerns anything; I merely voiced my opinion on a shitty piece of comedy and the idiotic comments left afterward. For the record, I fully support criticism of the Catholic church, they fucked up, big time. From extortion of worshipers in the middle ages to sexual abuse scandals they fuck up all the time. Just like any major religion, the Catholic church fucks up constantly. What is important is what people believe in, nobody has the right to demean that. Sure, make fun of the church for making a fool out of itself by fucking up the child abuse scandals. Then again, why don't you observe the vast amount of protestant preachers who greatly outnumber Catholic offenders, or the amount of Jewish rabbi guilty of the same crimes. Oh thats right, it's Catholicism, as long as you've got a mouth, know some swears, and listen to George Carlin your automatically a scholar on the subject. Please, next time you find yourself willing to argue about anything, take a deep breathe, find the nearest blunt object, and begin immediately hammering away at your face.
