Sorry that some people are offended by this, but this is not a mockery, but something that has been done for years in the Philippines. These men that are doing this are devoted Christians. I myself think that any beliefs in religion is outrageous, but to each their own.

Honestly, what is wrong with people? What is the point of nailing yourself to a cross, or supporting this nonsense? What is this man trying to prove? Yet again religion has a way of bringing out the "best" in people. Why don't these people go feed the homeless or plant a tree or work for a charity -- you know, make some good use of their time. Nailing yourself to a cross, or supporting others nailing themselves to a cross is ridiculous. Why must religious people always be so drawn to violence and torture? What does that have anything to do with the lessons of love Jesus taught? We shall pray for them, poor things.

People need to shut the fuck up and accept that this is a BIG part of the filipino culture. As a Filipino-American and Christian (the cursing and drinking kind) i think people who are critical about this tradition are racist pigs. so fuck off. ands it not a mockery of Jesus Christ!! filipinos are 10xs more devoted in their religion than most Americans with a few exceptions.
