Kim Basinger goes from whimpering victim to bad-ass babe in While She Was Out, her upcoming film about a mother fighting for her life against a group of thugs, directed by first time director Susan Montford. It's a refreshing surprise to see Basinger in the limelight again because it feels like she's been absent for decades. One wonders if the filmmakers had her relationship with Alec Baldwin in mind when they put together the scene in the trailer with her onscreen husband.

A full-fledged trailer for Che is here, with dialogue and everything. Benicio Del Toro plays Che Guevera, the leader and warrior of the Cuban Revolution, and he certainly looks the part. The trailer is full of war scenes and deep, brooding looks from Del Toro, but whether it will be able to make a man who took so many lives empathetic remains to be seen. Director Steven Soderbergh goes for a very naturalistic look.

This time she's paired up with Gerard Butler, who's taking a much needed break from breaking people's noses to teach Heigl a thing or two about romance. Butler is an interesting choice for leading man, and a nice change of pace from the likes of Seth Rogen and Ben Stiller. Let's hope this has enough bad behavior to rise above the genre.
