Scarlett Johansson's Man Voice is Scary

image

Scarlett recently stopped by the AOL Sessions studios to perform two tunes of her Tom Waits cover album Anywhere I Lay My Head. The first live track she does is "Falling Down" of Wait’s 1988 LP Big Time.

I give it a C+. Her voice isn’t that strong during the performance, but she seems to be really comfortable on the singing tip in general. I just find it interesting that Scarlett chose to do all Tom Waits covers instead of giving us a mixed bag of songs. Is it because she kinda has a dude’s voice and can’t pull off anything else? I say yes. You be the judge…
